The County Childcare Committee’s Manager is Gerry Hickey who coordinates the work of the County Childcare Committee & staff. In his role as Manager, Gerry works proactively and effectively with the voluntary and statutory agencies and individual service providers. He assists in the preparation of applications for programme funding. Gerry works analytically and strategically in developing and implementing the County strategic plan in collaboration with the South Tipperary County Childcare Committee.
Ger Boland

Ger has worked with the STCCC for the past 5 years as Childcare Development Officer. She previously worked for 3 years in Respond! Housing Association as Education and Development Officer. Ger has a diploma in community Development has supported and developed childcare community groups and self employed services through the funding process under the Equal Opportunities Childcare Programme and National Childcare Investment Programme.
Carol Knox
Childminding Advisory Officer

Carol started her position as Childminding Advisory Officer with STCCC in June 2007 having worked in the Kilkenny County Childcare committee for over 2 years on a part-time basis, while spending the other half of her day managing a Naionra in a rural area in Kilkenny. Her role is to provide support, information and training to both existing and potential childminders in South Tipperary.
Carol graduated from the Institute of Technology Carlow in 2006, where she has achieved a BA (Hons.) in Early Childhood Studies. This was a four year course which provided her the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with children of all age groups and in numerous different types of settings. She is currently looking forward to her new career within the Childcare Committee.
Marian O’ Riordan

Marian O’Riordan has been the County Childcare Administrator since June 2007. She has 15 years administrative experience in both the private and public sector including working with the Council for Children’s Hospitals’ Care (Dublin) and the Brothers of Charity (Cork). As the Committee’s Administrator, Marian ensures the effective running of the committee’s record keeping system and financial accounts for the County Committee. Marian communicates and provides relevant information to voluntary and statutory agencies, individual service providers and members of the general public. Marian deals with queries, course applications and administration.
